Help Ride raises thousands

A recent charitable event successfully raised a few thousand dollars to help families in need.

 

The inaugural Help Ride – organized by the guys of Golden Crown Productions, Don Harbour, Robert Walker and Gregg Hassler – brought in more than $3,000 on Aug. 29 for the nonprofit Concerns of Police Survivors (COPS).

 

Part of the mission of Golden Crown Productions is to entertain by bringing top-notch entertainment to southwest Riverside County for friendly and memorable concert experiences. The difference between them and other production companies is that Golden Crown works to give back. Read More

Inaugural Help Ride on a role with a golden touch

The first charity motorcycle rally and music festival organized by a group of regional law enforcement agencies with the help of a Temecula-based production company was held in Old Town Temecula last weekend.

TEMECULA: Buzz growing for Help Ride

Buzz is building for the Help Ride, a motorcycle rally that will feature hundreds -- maybe thousands -- of riders rumbling into Old Town Temecula for a weekend filled with hard rock music and a bike show.

The City Council cleared a path months ago for the three-day festival that kicks off Aug. 28 by approving street closures. In recent weeks, the organizers, who have modeled the charity event after the popular Love Ride in Glendale, have released new details on registration costs, the entertainment lineup and the schedule of events.

The organizers, Temecula's Golden Crown Productions, recently met with members of the Old Town Temecula Association, the industry group that includes Old Town merchants. Read More

Motorcyclists, Temecula police losing animosity as they team up on benefit ride

A year ago, a conversation between a biker and a police officer in Old Town Temecula often involved a ticket and hard feelings.

Now, police and motorcycle enthusiasts are working together to put on an Old Town festival benefiting families of law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty.

"We're not unfriendly to bikers at all," said Craig Puma, a restaurant owner and head of the Old Town Temecula Association. "But we are unfriendly to anyone who wants to tear up our town." Read More

Motorcycle rally will benefit police officers' charity

TEMECULA - Local promoters are touting an upcoming motorcycle event in Temecula as Southwest County's version of the Love Ride, the annual rally in Glendale that attracts thousands of bikers and celebrities each year.

Temecula's rally will be called the Help Ride and, like the Love Ride, proceeds raised during the event will be given to charity.

Gilby Clarke is a guitarist and record producer, He is best known as the rhythm guitarist of Guns N' Roses. He has also played with Rock Star Supernova which was featured on the hit TV show Rockstar. Come out and hear a true Rocker Rock.


Austin Law is a dynamic band you must see. Michael Austin’s smooth, warm voice and tremendous range combined with heartfelt lyrics, to hard driving Country Rock, shape the sound of Austin Law. As an Air Force veteran during times of conflict, Michael Austin has experienced the trials of the American Warrior and its impact on the American Family. This path of public service brought Michael Austin to the San Bernardino County’s Sheriff’s Department as a Deputy Sheriff. Michael Austin’s tenure as a Lawman, and “nickname” of “Law Dog” brought about the name of the band “Austin Law”. Years in the making, Austin Law, is a family of eight diverse musicians hailing from all corners of America, with influences from deep roots country, to modern day rock. This unique combination is the soul of Austin Law.


Gene Loves Jezebel began in 1980 with the Aston brothers, guitarist Ian Hudson and a drum machine. In May 1982, the label released Gene Loves Jezebel's demo single ""Sweetest Thing" briefly hit the Top 75 in UK and the album, Discover, reached number 32 in UK Albums Chart. At this time, the group also found heavy rotation on college and countercultural radio stations across America. The band had slowly turned their attention to dance music. The slick and catchy guitar hooks of singles "Desire" and "Heartache" and “Jealous” respectively were big hits on the Los Angeles' New Wave station, KROQ. Gene Loves Jezebel continues to be a great stadium act.
